Sam Relf

 

Other than Alex, Sam is the longest existing member of New Old World and even co-founded the band before going his seperate way, only to later rejoin and help form the current band lineup. Both talented on his instrument and creative in his approach to composing, Sam is a valued member of New Old World who adds his own influence to the band through his skilfully crafted bass lines.

 

Inspired by bassists such as Chris Wolstenholme of Muse and Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sam refuses to view the bass as a background instrument. He constantly strives to write diverse and interesting bass lines, which both do himself and the songs justice.

 

During his 18 month hiatus from what became New Old World, Sam endeavoured in other musical projects gaining performing experience both live and in studio, which he has since applied to the band's material.
